These two teams are on a losing run of games so one team will have the chance to savour a win and perhaps kick some life into their season. As the home team, there will be an expectation on Barcelona to win the game but given the season the Catalan club have had, there will be no one taking this game for granted. The Turkish side have endured a terrible time so far this season and they are desperate for any sort of win that will send them further up the table.
The hosts have lost their last three games and they carry an 8-13 record, which sees them sitting in 12th place. This is a bit grim for the Barcelona fans but they know that they are only two wins away from the playoff spots. There is certainly no reason why Barcelona cannot force their way into the playoff spots but they need to find some consistency.
Galatasaray have tasted defeat in their two most recent games, and this leaves them with a 6-15 record. This is the poorest record in the entire league which means the Istanbul club are propping up the rest of the league. There haven’t been too many magical moments for the Turkish side to enjoy this season but the 78-64 triumph against FC Barcelona Lassa earlier on this season was a great moment. There was some brilliant attacking play from Sinan Guler and Blake Schilbe who offered up 36 points and 13 assists between them.
