Euroleague

The EuroLeague action is rounded out in some style this week. Thursday night was a tremendous one for fans, casual observers and basketball betting fans alike, and Friday will be similar.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul v Zalgiris Kaunas

Anadolu come into this game on the back of six wins in a row, and they are tucked in behind a host of teams hunting down Barcelona. The hosts will be keen to continue their winning streak, but Kaunas also know they are running out of time to push up the table.

The hosts hold a 17-10 record, with two teams above them holding an 18-10 record after the Thursday night games. Kaunas come in ninth spot and hold a 15-13 record.

TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz v Bayern Munich

10th plays third in this game in Spain, and Bayern bring a four-game winning streak. The Spaniards have achieved some big wins this campaign, and they hold a 14-14 record. Bayern are in fourth, but a win here will move them to the same record as the second placed side, Milan, so the Germans have all the incentive they need to win.

Olympiacos Piraeus v Zenit St Petersburg

12th welcomes 8th in this game, and time is running out for the Greek side. Any slip up in this game, and their Play-Off hopes will be all but finished. The Russians will feel more confident about extending their season, but even they will look back with some concern.

This could be a nervy night in Greece.

Valencia Basket v Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul

The hosts are one of the teams who need to keep winning games, and hope that the teams above them slip up. The visitors are looking to win games, so they don’t need to look behind them in the Play-Off race.

The hosts are 11th with a 14-14 record, while the Turkish side is currently in 6th. Fenerbahçe hold a 17-11 record, sitting just behind city rivals in the table.

CSKA Moscow 76-84 AX Armani Exchange Milan

A massive win for Milan in Moscow, who now sit second in the table. Kevin Punter delivered a career-high of 32 points in the win.

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens 81-63 Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv

It’s been a grim season for Panathinaikos, languishing third bottom, but this was a convincing win over Maccabi. Ioannis Papapetrou grabbed 20 points.

Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade 92-81 Khimki Moscow Region

The bottom two met in Belgrade, and the hosts won well, even though they trailed by double digits at one point. Jordan Loyd scored 22 points in the win.

Real Madrid 76-81 FC Barcelona

This one lived up to the billing. The league leaders grabbed a crucial win, and poured more pain over their big rivals. Pierre Oriola scored 18 points for the Catalan side who could be celebrating on Friday night. A loss for Fenerbahce or Kaunas will guarantee Barcelona their Play-Off spot.
