There are just two Final 8 spots remaining up for grabs in the Basketball Champions League, and this means we are in for an exciting week. Five games are scheduled for Tuesday night, with a further two games on Wednesday night. We also have two games on Thursday evening as this stage of the tournament wraps up.
Group J and Group L are already decided with respect to the qualifiers so Group I and Group K carry the most importance.
Basketball Champions League games on Tuesday 6th April are:
- Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon vs. Tofas Bursa
- Pinar Karsiyaka vs. Happy Casa Brindisi
- Lenovo Tenerife vs. Hereda San Pablo Burgos
- Igokea vs. VEF Riga
- Dinamo Sassari vs. ERA Nymburk
Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon top the group and they face off against bottom side Tofas Bursa in Group I on Tuesday evening. This means all the focus falls on the Pinar Karsiyaka v Hapy Casa Brindisi clash.
The hosts are currently in third place with a 2-3 record while the away side travel with a 3-2 record. An away win keeps things simple, and would see Brindisi progress. However, a home win makes things exciting. This is because Pinar defeated Happy Casa Brindisi earlier in the season, so a win would place both sides on to a 3-3 record, but Pinar would lead on the head-to-head.
Therefore, both teams know what they have to do, just go and win a game of basketball.
The other matter which is still to be decided isn’t scheduled to unfold on Tuesday night, so the match between Pinar and Brindisi is set to take all the attention when it comes to a meaningful game.
Of course, if you place a bet on any of the games, you will have something to root for, no matter where a team lies with respect to the Play-Off push.
