NBA Betting Action For Wednesday
We may be heading towards Easter but the NBA is showing no signs of slowing down, and there were a handful of interesting and intriguing games on Tuesday night. The Pacers lost in Brooklyn with the Nets claiming victory with a 111-106 win. The Spurs were also winners, grabbing a road win in Miami, defeating the Heat by a score of 81-95.
The Pistons grabbed a good home win against a home and hosed Hawks side, the Detroit team winning by a score of 105-95 and the Clippers slumped to a home defeat with the Clippers getting in front by a score of 106-110.
There are plenty more games lined up in the NBA for Wednesday night, and with the fight for the playoff spots getting tighter, you can expect to see plenty of great games and plenty of drama in the next few days.
Indiana Pacers @ Boston Celtics
The Celtic have lost three in a row in Boston and will be determined to bring this run to an end in this one. It isn’t all bad for the Celtics though, they have won two of their last three games, these victories coming on the road, and they also grabbed a massive 116-104 win over the Hornets. This win keeps them in the hunt for the final playoff spot and when you take on board the fact that the Celtics won 10 games in March, the best they have managed all season, they will still believe they can achieve success in this campaign.
The Pacers are also looking to remain in the race for the last playoff spot in the east though although their hopes were hampered with a 111-106 loss to the Nets. The Indiana side have dropped four of their last five games on the road, but they have a slight upper hand over the Celtics, winning 5 of the last 7 clashes between the two teams.
Indiana have a 32-42 record so far this season which includes a 13-24 record on the road. The Celtics hold a 33-41 record at the moment, which includes an 18-19 record at home. With respect to average points scored, the Celtics lead 100.9 to 97.1 and for points against, the Pacers lead 97.5 to 101.6.
Taking the Celtics at -3.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a decent bet for this game.
Dallas Mavericks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder are still in the mix for a playoff spot and this home game against the team sitting above them in the Western Conference represents a chance to bolster their chances. The fact that the Mavericks have lost back to back games will give confidence to the Thunder but there is a lot of work to be done to guarantee that playoff spot.
Dallas has actually lost four of their last 5 games and when you consider that they will be without Monta Ellis for this game, they know that they are up against it. Mind you, the Thunder have been without Kevin Durant for a considerable time (and will be for the rest of the campaign) and they have managed to keep on grinding out results. The Thunder grabbed a tremendous win against the Suns on Sunday, coming back from 20 points down to win 109-97.
The Mavericks are sitting with a 45-29 record, which includes a 20-17 record on the road. The Thunder hold a 42-32 record, and this includes a 27-9 record at home. With respect to average points scored, the Mavericks lead 104.1 to 103.3 and for average points against, the Thunder have a very narrow advantage, 100.8 to 100.9.
Taking the Thunder at -3, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a decent bet for this game.
Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks
The Bulls have been dominant over the Bucks of late, and they should have more than enough to win this one. The Chicago side are on a winning run of 3, and they have defeated the Bucks 6 in a row, not to mention winning 9 road games in the series in a row. The Bulls enjoyed a comfortable 118-80 win against New York on Saturday, helping them to remain ahead of the Raptors.
The Bucks have lost 2 in a row and 8 out of 10, but they remain in 6th spot. The recent losses have been to the Warriors and Atlanta, so they have been facing some tough teams, but there is definitely a need for the Bucks to get back to winning ways before their playoff spot starts to look in danger.
The Bulls carry a 45-29 record at the moment and this includes a 21-15 record on the road. They face a Bucks side which holds a 36-38 record, and this contains a 20-15 record at home. With respect to average points scored, the Bulls lead by 101.1 to 97.7 and for average points against, the Bucks have an advantage by 97.7 to 98.4.
Taking the Bulls at -5.5, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sensible bet for this game.
