Sunday NBA Action Rounds Off Your Week
If you are looking to round off your week in great style, the choice of NBA action is perfect. There were a number of interesting and exciting games on Saturday in the NBA but if you missed out on that, don’t worry, as there is still plenty of excitement to come.
The Celtics achieved a great win in Indiana, defeating the Pacers by a score of 89-93. The Nets also won away from home, defeating the 76ers by a score of 87-94. The Jazz defeated the Pistons in Utah, the home team winning 88-85 and the Wizards were comfortable home winners against the Kings, 113-97.
The Grizzlies held on at home to defeat the Bucks by a score of 96-83 and the Warriors dealt with the Knicks convincingly, winning by a score of 94-125.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Orlando Magic
While it is easy to see why most of the focus for the Cavs has fallen on LeBron this season, it would be wrong to say that they are a one man team. In fact, in their most recent game against the reigning NBA champions, it was Kyrie Irving that was the main man. He grabbed 57 points to seal victory and although it is unlikely that the Cavs will require such a virtuoso performance to overcome the Magic, they certainly wouldn’t complain if Kyrie was to hit top form again in this game.
The Cavs have a 42-25 record going into this game and this includes an 18-16 record on the road. The Cavs have a winning streak of 3, which includes that massive win against the Spurs when the Cavs won by a score of 128-125. The Heat have a record of 21-46, which includes an 11-21 record at home. The Heat are on a losing streak of 3 which includes a Friday night loss in Boston when they fell 95-88. The Cavs have a 7-3 record in their last 10 games while the Heat have a 3-7 record in their last 10 games.
With respect to average points scored, the Cavs lead 103.3 to 95.6 and for average points allowed the Cavs lead 98.8 to 101.3. The Cavs could be without Shawn Marion for this game and the Heat are likely to be without Willie Green and Evan Fournier.
This should be a game that the Cavs take control of and taking them with a -10 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a safe bet. Bet Now!
Portland Trail Blazers @ Toronto Raptors
The Blazers are still coming to terms with the loss of Wesley Matthews and while they have did well so far, they know that they have a number of major challenges in the next few days. A trip to Atlantic Division leaders the Toronto Raptors is never an easy task and this is a game that could tell us a lot about the mettle and strength of both sides.
The Blazers hold a 43-20 record coming into this game which includes a road record of 15-14. The Raptors have a 39-26 record coming into this game and this includes a 22-11 record at home. Both teams head into this game on the back of Friday night wins. The Blazers defeated the Pistons 118-99 while the Raptors defeated the Heat 102-92. The Blazers have a 7-3 record in their last 10 games while the Raptors have a very poor 2-8 record.
For average points scored, the Raptors lead 104.4 to 102.7 and for average points allowed, the Blazers lead 97.5 to 101.2. Joel Freeland and Alonzo Gee are being closely monitored by Portland while Wesley Matthews is out for the campaign and the Raptors are monitoring Jonas Valanciunas closely in the build-up to this game.
Taking the Raptors with a -2 handicap, at odds of 1.90, could help you achieve success on Sunday. Bet Now!
Atlanta Hawks @ Los Angeles Lakers
The Hawks have a great record against Western Conference teams this season, winning 19 out of 24 but one of their defeats did come against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Hawks have a very poor record against the Lakers but they know that this will be their best opportunity to achieve a decent result against them.
The Hawks hold a 51-14 record, including a 21-10 record away from home and they take on a Lakers side that carries a 14-47 record, which includes a 10-22 record at home. The Hawks won their most recent game, defeating the Suns by a score of 87-96 while the Lakers lost their most recent game, at home to the Knicks, losing by a score of 94-101. In their last ten games, the Hawks are 8-2 and the Lakers are 4-6.
For average points scored, the Hawks lead 102.7 to 99.1 and for average points allowed, the Hawks lead 96.6 to 105.3.
Mike Scott, Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha are major doubts for the Hawks while Dennis Schroder and John Jenkins are being monitored closely. The Lakers are looking at the fitness of Wesley Johnson and Jeremy Lin closely.
Taking the Hawks with a -8.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sound bet. Bet Now!
