Tuesday Night Betting Action In The NBA
The Monday night NBA action was more than enough to set people up for another week of great basketball betting excitement. The Cavaliers disposed of the Hornets without too much difficulty, winning 97-88 in Cleveland, and the Pacers had far too much for the Lakers, the home side triumphing in Indiana by a score of 110-91. The Hawks downed the Bulls in Atlanta, winning by a score of 93-86.
The Trail Blazers bagged a win over the reigning champions, the final score in Portland being 108-95. The Celtics managed to get a win on the road, and even though it was only against Philadelphia, the 87-105 win would have been greatly appreciated in Boston. The Raptors continued their fine form, defeating the Magic by a score of 95-82 in Toronto. The Bucks grabbed a narrow win in Phoenix, winning 94-96 and the Clippers had a comfortable time in Los Angeles, winning against the Pistons by a score of 113-91.
Dallas Mavericks @ New York Knicks
The Mavericks head to New York with a 17-8, 8-4 away from home, record while the Knicks hold a 5-21 record, which includes a 3-10 record at home. The overall form for both teams is quite different although they both come into this match on the back of losing a game. With respect to the form guide for the last five games, the Mavericks hold a 2-3 record while the Knicks have a 1-4 record.
The Mavericks come into this game after losing on Saturday, but there is no great shame in losing to the team with the current best record in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors triumphed in Dallas by a score of 98-105, which was hard to take for the home fans, but there will no doubt be some positive signs to take from the performance.
The Knicks broke a 10 game losing spree with a win in Boston on Friday but they were unable to continue this on Sunday night. It was a close run thing though as they lost in overtime at home to the Raptors. Given the team from Toronto is ranked as the best team in the Eastern Conference at the moment, the 90-95 loss was no shame. Carmelo Anthony grabbed 34 points in that game, only his second since returning from a knee injury and he has been in great form this season.
Both sides have a number of injuries to contend with. The Mavericks are monitoring Chandler Parson and Jameer Nelson while Raymond Felton is a more serious doubt for Dallas. As for New York, they are monitoring Carmelo Anthony, Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni on a regular basis while JR Smith and Iman Shumpert are bigger concerns for the team.
Taking the Mavericks with a handicap of -7, with odds of 1.90, is likely to be the best bet for this Tuesday night game. Bet Now!
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Washington Wizards
The Timberwolves hold a 5-18 record and a 2-8 record away from home. The Wizards can boast of a 17-6 record and an impressive 12-2 record in Washington. The Timberwolves have lost 2 in a row coming into this one while the Wizards have won 4 games straight. This means the Wizards have a 4-1 record in their last 5 games while the Timberwolves hold a 1-4 record.
The Wizards grabbed a 93-84 home win against Utah on Sunday with Bradley Beal picking up 22 points and John Wall offering 16 points. The Timberwolves come into this game on the back of a 94-100 loss against the Lakers. Shabazz Muhammad was in excellent form with 28 points from the bench and when you consider he is not yet fully fit, he is playing excellently for the team from Minnesota.
The Wizards don’t have any major injury concerns for this game but the Timberwolves have a few players occupying their medical staff. Shabazz Muhammad is being monitored on a daily basis while Ricky Rubio, Ronny Turiaf and Mo Williams are all slightly more serious, and could be risks for this game.
The Wizards should be able to take this game convincingly but with a handicap of +13, the Timberwolves look attractive at odds of 1.90. Bet Now!
Miami Heat @ Brooklyn Nets
The Heat hold an 11-13 record, with a 7-6 record away from home while the Nets have a 10-12 record with a 5-6 record in Brooklyn. The Heat lost their last game while the Nets have managed two wins on the bounce. The Heat are 2-3 in their last five games as are the Brooklyn side.
Miami is having a rough time this month and the Sunday loss against the Bulls provided them with a 2-6 record for this month. They were brutally outscored in the second and third quarter in that game (58-30) in an overall 75-93 loss. Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng both grabbed 17 points but Chris Bosh was absent with a strained calf.
The Nets suffered three losses in a row but have responded well, defeating Philadelphia on Friday night and the defeating the Hornets in Charlotte on Saturday by a score of 87-114. Joe Johnston was on fine form, grabbing 22 points and 7 players made it into double figures for the Brooklyn team, a season best for them.
The Nets don’t really have any injury concerns at the moment but the Heat have a few concerning matters to attend to. Josh McRoberts and Chris Anderson are the biggest worries although Dwyane Wade, Justin Hamilton and Chris Bosh are all being monitored on a day to day basis.
It could be a close on in Brooklyn but taking the Heat with the handicap is likely to be the best approach to this game. Bet Now!
