A New Week Of NBA Action
We’re in March and we are in a new week, but the NBA action keeps on coming. There are more than enough games on Monday to bet on but there were also plenty of games on Sunday to recap.
The Bulls lost at home to the Clippers, losing out by a score of 86-96 while the Magic also lost at home, the Hornets winning by a score of 83-98. The Pacers won at home to the 76ers, winning by a margin of 94-74 but the Lakers lost at home with the Thunder dealing with them by a score of 101-108.
The Rockets managed a massive yet narrow win over the Cavaliers, winning by 105-103 in Houston. The Celtics lost out narrowly at home to the Warriors, the Boston side losing by 101-106. The Kings were also losers at home, with the Trail Blazers winning by 99-110. The Nuggets were defeated at home with the Pelicans winning by a score of 92-99.
Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers
The Raptors have hit a poor run of form of late, which is definitely not the time of year you want to get into a slump but they have a chance to find redemption against the 76ers. Five defeats in a row has obliterated a healthy lead in the Atlantic but this game could see the Raptors turn things around.
The Toronto side comes into this game with a 37-22 record, and this includes a road record of 16-12. The five defeats in a row will have dented a lot of confidence for the Raptors and their 10 game record stands at 4-6. The 76ers have lost their most recent game but they have a 3-7 record in their most recent 10 games. The Philadelphia side have a 13-46 record over the course of the season, including an 8-20 record at home.
With respect to average points scored, the Raptors have a massive advantage, 104.3 to 90.1 but for average points allowed, the advantage is a slim one, 100.5 to 100.6.
On Saturday, the Raptors lost in New York by a score of 103-98 while on Sunday, the 76ers lost in Indiana by a score of 94-74. Kyle Lowry is a doubt for the Raptors while Nerlens Noel and Robert Covington are being monitored on a day to day basis.
This is a game where the Raptors have to return to winning ways, and you can look to take the Toronto Raptors with a sizable negative handicap. Bet Now!
New Orleans Pelicans @ Dallas Mavericks
The Pelicans have managed to go on a five game winning streak, which would be impressive at the best of times but they have managed to do so largely without Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday. When you are able to put a string of wins together when you are far from your best, it is a clear indicator that your have a strong squad. This is something that the Mavericks wish they could pull together because they also have some notable absentees but their recent form hasn’t been too sparkling, having lost their two most recent games.
The Pelicans hold a 32-37 record this season and this includes a road record of 12-17. They have won 5 in a row, taking them to a 6-4 record in their last 10 games. The Mavericks have a 39-22 record which includes a 20-10 record in Dallas. With two defeats in a row, the side from Dallas also holds a 6-4 record in their last 10 games. With respect to average points allowed, the Mavericks have the edge, 105.3 compared to 99.8 while for average points allowed, the Pelicans have the edge with a 99.3 record compared to a 100.6 record.
The Pelicans won in Denver on Sunday night, winning by 99-92 and on Saturday, the Mavericks lost at home to the Nets, by a score of 94-104.
The Pelicans are monitoring Tyreke Evans while the Mavericks are likely to be without Chandler Parsons while Tyson Chandler is being monitored on a daily basis.
You should find that you will get favourable odds on the Pelicans winning this game, but it may not be a massive win. Bet Now!
Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
The Clippers may be without Blake Griffin but they have been grinding out wins of late, which is always handy when you head into March. While they face a team with a poor record, the Timberwolves are ranked in place, the Minnesota side are not the pushovers that they were previously this season.
The Clippers hold a 39-21 record, which includes a road record of 16-13. The Timberwolves have a 13-45 record, including an 8-22 record at home. The Clippers have won their most recent 2 games, with a 6-4 record in their last 10, while the Timberwolves have lost their 2 most recent games, and hold a 5-5 record in their last 10 outings.
For average points, the Clippers have a big advantage, with a 106.6 record compared to the 97.7 record of the Timberwolves. For average points allowed, the Clippers have a narrower advantage, sitting with a 100.3 record compared to a 105.5 record.
The Clippers won in Chicago on Sunday night, triumphing 86-96 while on Saturday the Timberwolves lost 97-101 to the Grizzlies.
Matt Barnes and JJ Reddick are being monitored daily by the Clippers while the Timberwolves are monitoring Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic while Anthony Bennett is likely to miss out.
The Clippers should be handy to win this game with a good few points so taking them with a strong negative handicap isn’t likely to be a bad bet. Bet Now!
