Midweek Betting Fun For NBA Fans
We’re at the middle point of the week, so once we get beyond Wednesday, we know that the weekend isn’t too far away. There is a great selection of basketball games on offer in the NBA on Wednesday night, so if you are keen to have some midweek fun, and perhaps place a bet or two, this is the ideal place to be.
The Thunder grabbed a big away win in Miami, placing additional heat on the home side with their 86-94 win. The Spurs showed their strength on the road by grabbing a big win against the Nuggets, winning 99-109. Two games isn’t a lot for NBA fans to enjoy but don’t worry because there is plenty of action lined up for Wednesday night, with some of the following games being major highlights of the evening.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Washington Wizards
The Thunder come into this game with a 21-20 record, and this includes an away record which stands at 9-13. They face the Washington Wizards who hold a record of29-13, and this includes an 18-5 record in Washington. The home side should just have the edge for this one but it is going to be a tight affair.
Both teams come into this game on the back of wins, with the Thunder having won 3 in a row while the Wizards have won their last two games. Both teams can boast of a 4-1 record in their last 5 games, so these are teams that know how to put the opposition away.
The Wizards may only have been facing Philadelphia on Monday night but they were impressive at both ends of the court in their 111-76 win. The Thunder had a game on Tuesday night, winning in Miami by a score of 86-94, which is always a great result to take from an away game against the Heat.
Mitch McGarry is a doubt for the Thunder, and he will be monitored closely in the build-up to this game.
There isn’t a lot to choose between these sides, but you can find odds of 1.90 for the Wizards, with a handicap of -2, and this is likely to be a safe and sensible bet for this midweek. Bet Now!
Toronto Raptors @ Memphis Grizzlies
The Raptors currently hold a 27-14 record, and this includes an 11-7 record away from Toronto, which is quite an impressive away record most people would find. The Grizzlies have also been doing rather well this season though as they hold a 29-12 record for this campaign, and this includes a 16-5 record in Memphis.
While both teams have good records this season, the Raptors come into this game on the back of a single win and the Grizzlies actually lost their last game. The Raptors are having a bad spell, holding a 2-3 record in their last five games while at least the Grizzlies can boast of a 4-1 record in their previous five matches.
The Grizzlies welcomed back Mike Conley for their Monday night game against Dallas and while Conley helped himself to 22 points, Memphis slipped to a 95-103 defeat. Terence Ross delivered some great moments late on for the Raptors in their Monday night win against the Bucks, which was a close 89-92 triumph.
Taking the Grizzlies with a handicap of -5 and odds of 1.90 should be the right choice. And if you fancy an Over/Under pick for this game I predict the total result to go Over 198.5. Bet Now!
Brooklyn Nets @ Sacramento Kings
The Nets are currently sitting on a 17-24 record, with a 9-10 record when they venture out of Brooklyn. They will face the Sacramento Kings, who currently hold a 16-25 record, which includes a 10-14 record in Sacramento. The Nets lost their last game while the Kings have lost four in a row but both teams hold a 1-4 record in their last four games.
The Nets have had a little break after their double header against the Wizards. On Friday night, they grabbed an 80-102 win Washington with Jarret Jack and Brook Lopez both grabbing 26 points. On the Saturday night, Jack offered up 22 points and Lopez provided 15 points, but the final score in this game was 90-99 in favour of the Wizards, with both teams triumphing away from home.
On Monday night, the Kings suffered 23 turnovers in their 98-94 loss in Portland. This is an area that the team will have to work on but coach Tyrone Corbin doesn’t seem that worried about the defensive situation that the Kings are finding themselves on a regular basis this campaign.
The Nets don’t have any notable injury concerns coming into this game but the Kings have a number of players they are worried about. Rudy Gay, Omri Casspi and DeMarcus Cousins are all being monitored closely while Carl Landry and Ramon Sessions are bigger doubts.
Taking the Nets with a +6 handicap, and odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sensible bet for Wednesday night basketball betting fans. Bet Now!
