Tuesday Night Basketball Betting Action In The NBA
There are plenty of people that don’t like Mondays but if you are a fan of one of the NBA teams that lost on Monday evening, you will definitely have been down in the dumps last night. Then again, if you support one of the winning teams, or you had a successful bet on the Monday night games, the week would have got off to a glorious start as far as you are concerned!
The Los Angeles Clippers had a wonderful Monday night, winning away in Charlotte by a score of 92-113. Another team that had a tremendous away win was the Trail Blazers. They may have been up against the hapless 76ers but you still need to win the game, and a score line of 104-114 was enough for the team from Portland. The Rockets grabbed a home win, defeating the Knicks by a score of 91-86 but the Jazz slipped up at home, losing out to the Bulls in a narrow match, the game ending 95-97.
The score line in Cleveland was not a close run thing with the Cavaliers dismantling the Magic by a score of 106-74, and no doubt Cavs fans will once again be hoping that they have turned the corner in their season. The Raptors continue their impressive start to the campaign, edging out the Suns by a score of 104-100. In the remaining game on Monday, the Pacers grabbed a crucial away win against the Mavericks, winning in Dallas by a score of 100-111.
Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans
The Kings are coming into this game with a 8-5 record, while being 4-3 away from home and the Pelicans are sitting on a 7-5 record, with a 4-1 record at home. Both of these teams are doing quite well so far this season but both will be viewing this game as one that can push them on to further success. Both teams can boast of a 3-2 record in their last five games, so they will be keen to add a consistent touch to their play.
Anthony Davis is in great form for the Pelicans, he picked up 43 points and offered 14 rebounds for the New Orleans side on Saturday in their 94-1906 win in Utah. If he can scale those heights again on Tuesday, it is likely that the Pelicans will have a lot to smile about.
DeMarcus Cousins was also in great form on Saturday night as he grabbed 31 points, which pushed the Kings to a 101-113 win on the road against the Timberwolves.
Both teams have a couple of injury concerns going into this game. The Kings are monitoring a number of players on a day by day basis, Ramon Sessions, Darren Collison and Rudy Gay while the Pelicans are likely to be without Eric Gordon and Omer Asik.
The fact that both teams are in decent form means that this is likely to be a tough match but taking the Kings at odds of 1.90 for a +3.5 start is likely to be a worthwhile bet. Bet Now!
Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards
The Hawks are on a 6-5 record, with a 1-4 away record, while the Wizards hold a 9-3 record, sitting at 5-1 at home. Both sides won their last match, with the Hawks holding a 3-2 record in their last five games with the Wizards holding a 4-1 record.
Paul Pierce was in excellent form on Saturday night, grabbing 25 points and providing 10 rebounds in the 100-111 win at the Bucks on Saturday. Pierce was helped out by John Wall grabbing 19 points as the Wizards managed a big turnaround in that match.
The Hawks put two defeats behind them in their 99-89 win against Detroit, with Jeff Teague picking up 28 points while Paul Millsap offered up 15 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
DeMarre Carroll is a major doubt for the Hawks while Nene Hilario has been struggling of late.
In looking for the best value for this game, taking the Hawks at +6.5 at odds of 1.90 is likely to be a sensible bet for anyone keen to brighten up their Tuesday night with some exciting basketball betting. Bet Now!
Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks
The Pistons are currently sitting with a 3-10 record, 1-6 away from home while the Bucks hold a 7-7 record, with a 4-2 status at home. The Pistons have lost their last four NBA games and the Bucks have lost their last two, so this game will present an opportunity for one team to smash that run and hopefully generate some confidence around their team.
The Pistons are in a shooting slump, and this was the biggest failing in their 99-89 defeat in Atlanta on Friday night. Greg Monroe is the player that is having most success so far for the Pistons but other players need to up their game. The Pistons can at least look back on a home win over the Bucks this season, with Josh Smith grabbing 14 points in that 98-95 win back in early November.
Milwaukee grabbed 100 points against the Wizards on Saturday but in shipping 111 points, they lost at home. Brandon Knight offered up 27 points on Saturday while Giannis Antetokounmpo provided 20 points. This was a return to the starting line-up for Giannas after an ankle injury and while he is still finding his feet in coming back, he is likely to be a big player for the Bucks in this match.
With respect to injuries, the Pistons are monitoring Luigi Datome and Brandon Jennings on a daily basis while the Bucks also have a couple of players who are taking things on a day by day note. This list includes Nate Wolters, Brandon Knight and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With two teams struggling for form, it is likely to be a close affair but taking the Pistons at +3.5 at odds of 1.90 may be the best bet for Tuesday night basketball betting action. Bet Now!
