NBA Hoping For Full Card On Tuesday Night
Monday night saw a game postponed as storms arrived on the East Coast of America. The Trail Blazers visit to the Nets was postponed, which meant that the Portland team were quickly hurrying out of New York to get to their next destination, but they could only travel very slowly due to the traffic and everyone else trying to get out of there as well.
The Blazers match against the Nets has been rescheduled for early April, which will be the second last week of the regular season. The Trail Blazers have arrived safely in Cleveland and will be training on Tuesday before they take on the Cavs on Wednesday night. As you would expect, the game in New York, when the Knicks were meant to welcome the Kings, was also postponed, so we were two games down on the NBA card for Monday night,
All of the other games went ahead as planned though with the Thunder grabbing a great 92-84 win against the Timberwolves. The Pelicans were comfortable at home against the 76ers and the Clippers ran out narrow winners against the Nuggets, the final score in Los Angeles being 102-98. The Grizzlies were strong at home to the Magic, winning by 103-94 and the Celtics were the only team to win away from home all night. The side from Boston grabbed a 90-99 win in Utah.
Toronto Raptors @ Indiana Pacers
The Raptors are clear favourites heading into this match and their 29-15 record, including a 12-8 record on the road, is a big reason why. The Pacers hold a 16-30 record this season and their home record of 8-11 isn’t that impressive. Both teams come into this game on the back of a victory with the Raptors having two wins in a row while the Pacers won their last outing.
The Raptors trounce the Pacers with respect to average points scored, 105.8 compared to 95 but the Pacers have given up fewer points, 97.1 compared to 100.8. The Raptors have a 3-2 record in their last five games and a 5-5 record in their last 10 games. The Pacers have a 1-4 record in their last five and a 2-8 record in their last 10.
DeMar DeRozan grabbed 25 points for the Raptors in the 114-110 win against Detroit on Sunday. On the same day, the Pacers were turning in one of their strongest performances of late with a 99-106 win in Orlando.
Amir Johnson, Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas are all concerns for the Raptors while the Pacers will monitor George Hill and CJ Miles.
Taking the Raptors with a -3.5 handicap, and odds of 1.90 is likely to be the best bet for Tuesday. Bet Now!
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons
This is a game between two teams who have been patchy this campaign. At times they are awful but then at other times, they look on tremendous form. The Cavs come into this game with a 25-20 record, including a 10-11 record, but they have won their last 6 games in a row. Before that, they were on a losing streak and their 10 game record stands at 6-4.
The Pistons hold a 17-28 record for this campaign and this includes a 7-15 record at home. The Pistons have lost their last 2 games, standing with a 2-3 record in their last five games and a 5-5 record in their last 10 matches.
With respect to average points scored, the Cavaliers hold the lead with 101.7 compared to 98.2 and with respect to average points allowed, the Cavs narrowly lead, with 100.0 compared to 100.2.
When you think that the Cavs are 1-8 without LeBron and 24-12 with him, it is clear that he is the key player and if the Cavs can keep him for the rest of the campaign, they could achieve what many people tipped them for before the season started. On Sunday night, the Cavs were comfortable in defeating the Thunder by a score of 108-98 while the Pistons slipped to a 114-110 loss in Toronto. DJ Augustin grabbed a career high of 35 points in the loss to Toronto.
Iman Shumpert and Brendan Haywood are doubts for the Cavaliers while Kyle Singer and Brandon Jennings are being monitored by the Pistons.
Taking the Cavaliers with a -7.5 handicap is likely to be a winning bet for Tuesday. Bet Now!
Milwaukee Bucks @ Miami Heat
This is a game between two teams who have a fairly even record so far this season. The Bucks hold a 22-22 record, which includes a 12-12 record away from home. With a 10-10 record at home, the Bucks are very much on an even keel this season. They head to Miami to take on the Heat who hold a 20-24 record so far this campaign and this includes an 8-13 record at home. The Heat have won their last two games while the Bucks lost their most recent match.
The Bucks have scored a lot more points on average in this campaign, 98.2 to 92.9, but the Heat have narrowly given up fewer points, 92.9 to 98.2.
With respect to five and ten game runs, the Bucks have a 2-3 record in their last five but have symmetry in their last 10 with a 5-5 record. The Heat have a 3-2 record in five and a 6-4 record in their last ten.
The Heat grabbed a brilliant 84-96 win in Chicago on Sunday with Hassan Whiteside offering a triple-double. The player provided 12 blocks, 13 rebounds and 14 points in the game, making a name for himself in the process. At the same time, the Bucks went down in San Antonio by a score of 101-95.
John Henson is a slight doubt for the Bucks while Luol Deng, Dwyane Wade and Hassan Whiteside are all causing concern for the Heat.
Taking the Bucks with a +4 advantage, at odds of 1.90, may not be the worst decision for a Tuesday. Bet Now!
