More NBA Action To Bet On
After the quiet nature of Sunday, the NBA was back with a bang on Monday with plenty of games to look out for. It looks like being a busy week and as the season rolls on, there will be more drama and tension as teams work harder to book their place in the post-season campaign.
The Wizards slumped to another defeat with the Hornets grabbing a great 88-92 win in Washington. The Nets were winners in a very tight affair in Brooklyn, edging past the Clippers by a score of 102-100. The Thunder had a good win at home to the Magic, defeating the Orlando side by 104-97. The Mavericks held on at home, defeating the Timberwolves by a score of 100-94.
In Cleveland, the Cavs bandwagon kept rolling with the Cavaliers defeating the 76ers by a score of 97-84 while the Raptors were defeated in Toronto. This was down to the Bucks grabbing a big 75-82 win. There was a big home win for the Pelicans, defeating the Hawks by a score of 115-100 in New Orleans. There was also a very close game in Phoenix, with the away team running out narrow winners. The Grizzlies won by 101-102, leaving the Suns gutted at the end of the game.
Boston Celtics @ New York Knicks
It is not often that the Celtics have a better record than their opponents but that is the case for this game. The Celtics hold a 16-30 record going into this game, and this includes a 7-15 record away from Boston. The Knicks have a 10-38 record, and that includes a 7-17 record in New York.
However, the fact that the Knicks won their last outing while the Celtics have lost three in a row may give the home team some comfort and confidence. With respect to the 10 game records, the Celtics hold a 3-7 record while the Knicks have a 5-5 record. With respect average points scored, the Celtics are way ahead, 100.9 to 92.7 but the Boston side has shipped more points.
On Sunday night, the Celtics slumped to a home defeat against the Heat, losing out 75-83 and on the same night, the Knicks grabbed a 92-80 win at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Celtics are monitoring Tayshaun Prince closely while there are doubts over Kelly Olynyk. The Knicks have more concerns, looking out for Carmelo Anthony, Cole Aldrich, Amar’e Stoudemire and Travis Wear.
This is a game that could go either way but taking the Celtics with a +1 handicap, and odds of 1.90, is likely to be a decent bet for Tuesday. Bet Now!
Miami Heat @ Detroit Pistons
The Heat head to Detroit on the back of a win, and a 21-26 record overall for the season so far. The Heat hold a road record of 13-11 and in their last ten games, they hold a 5-5 record. It isn’t an outstanding record but they are taking on a Detroit Pistons team that aren’t exactly fantastic themselves.
While there has been improvement from the Pistons, they hold an 18-30 record and their home record is 8-16. Like the Heat, the Pistons come into this match on the back of a win but their 10 game record stands at 4-6.
With respect to average points scored, the Pistons have the edge, sitting with a 97.9 record compared to a 92.4 record. With respect to average points allowed, the Heat are better off, having allowed 95.9 points compared to 100.0.
The Pistons had lost four games in a row before they snapped the run, defeating the Rockets in Detroit by 114-101 on Saturday night. The Heat managed to avoid three defeats in a row by overcoming the Celtics on Sunday night by a score of 75-83 in Boston.
The Pistons have no notable injury worries for this game but they are likely to be without Luol Deng, suffering from a hamstring injury although he has returned to training, and Chris Anderson is being monitored closely. The Pistons have snapped up John Lucas III on a 10 day contract but there is no indication if he will be involved with this game.
With a -4 handicap and odds of 1.90, looking at the Pistons for your Tuesday basketball bet may be a good option. Bet Now!
Utah Jazz @ Portland Trail Blazers
The Jazz head to Portland with some hope, but they know that they will need a lot to fall in their favour. However, while the Trail Blazers have a better record than the team from Utah, they are in the midst of a big slump, so this could be the ideal time for the Jazz to play the Trail Blazers.
The Jazz hold a 17-30 record, and this includes an 8-16 record away from home. Compared to the 32-16 record of the Trail Blazers, it is a poor one from the Jazz, and the 20-5 home record in Portland should suggest the Blazers have what it takes to win this one. However, the Portland side have lost three games in a row and they hold a 2-8 record in their last 10 games. Compare this to Utah who come into the game on the back of a win and with a 4-6 record in their last ten matches.
The average points scored for both teams sees the Trail Blazers with a 102.4 record compared to the 95.9 record of the Jazz. For points allowed, the Portland side have a 97.3 record while the Jazz hold a 98.4 record.
The Trail Blazers have had a rough time of late. Blowing a couple of leads in the fourth quarter before they were dismantled 95-888 by the Bucks on Saturday night. On Friday night, the Jazz bagged a brilliant 110-100 win over the Golden State Warriors.
The Jazz don’t have any injury concerns going into this match while Nicolas Batum and Robin Lopez are doubts for Portland.
The form of Portland at the moment makes the +8.5 handicap for the Jazz, at odds of 1.90, quite an enticing bet. If you are looking for a bit of excitement, this is the sort of bet that can provide you with an excellent return. Bet Now!
