Wednesday Night NBA Action Is Back Up And Running
We’ve a great number of games to look forward to on Wednesday night in the NBA but before we get there, there are a few games to take care of from Tuesday.
The Hornets grabbed a narrow win in Los Angeles, defeating the Lakers by 103-104 but the Kings had an easy time of it in New York, crushing the Knicks by a score of 86-124. The Bulls edged past the Wizards, winning 97-92 and the Nuggets defeated the Bucks in Denver, winning by 106-95. The Cavaliers were dominant against the Celtics, winning by 110-79 and the Hawks had an easy time against the Rockets, winning by a score of 104-96. The Grizzlies slipped up at home, losing out to the Jazz by a score of 82-93.

Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics
Both of these teams will think that they have an outside chance of the play-offs and both will be desperate to win this game. At different parts of the season, a game against the Jazz or the Celtics would have been considered an easy game but both teams have a lot more solidity about them at the moment. This could be an interesting evening of basketball in Boston.
The Jazz hold a 24-35 record which includes a road record of 11-19. This includes 3 wins in a row and a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. The Celtics have a 23-35 record, which includes a 14-16 record in Boston. The Celtics have lost their two most recent games and they hold a 5-5 record in their last 10 games.
When it comes to average points scored, the Celtics hold an advantage, with a 101.2 record compared to a 95.5 record while for average points allowed, the Jazz has the edge, with a 96.6 record compared to the 102.8 record of the Boston side.
The Jazz won in Memphis on Tuesday night, downing the Grizzlies by a score of 82-93 while the Celtics were trounced in Cleveland, losing by 110-79.
The Jazz don’t have any major injury concerns while the Celtics could well be without Kelly Olynyk.
This could be a close but taking the Celtics at -1, with odds of 1.90, could be a good way to have some fun this midweek. Bet Now!
Phoenix Suns @ Orlando Magic
The Suns have been in poor form for a month and it would be fair to say that their deadline trades haven’t helped the club. There will be a chance to bounce back against the Magic but there have been many games where the Suns had the chance to bounce back but fell short in the end.
Trading out Isaiah Thomas and Goran Dragic hasn’t helped the Suns and Brandon Knight is yet to settle or find form since coming in from the Bucks. The Suns still have a stronger record than the Magic, but there is nothing impressive about either side at the moment.
The Suns hold a 31-30 record at the moment and this contains a 14-17 record on the road. With 2 straight defeats, including a 115-98 loss in Miami on Monday, the Suns need to find form again soon. The team has a 3-7 record in their last 10 games.
The Magic hold a 19-42 record this season which contains a 9-20 record in Orlando. The team has lost 3 games in a row with Sunday’s loss at home to the Hornets, by a 83-98 margin, being their most recent. They have a 4-6 record in their last 10 games.
The Suns may be without Brandon Knight for this game while Aaron Fordon and Evan Fournier are doubts for Orlando.
Taking the Suns with a -4 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sensible bet for this game. Bet Now!
Charlotte Hornets @ Brooklyn Nets
The Hornets and the Nets both have a 25-33 record and they currently share the last play-off spot for the Eastern Conference. A win in this game could be crucial but there are a lot of teams in the mix for this play-off spot, which could make it difficult for the side that loses the game.
The Hornets have an 11-17 road record and the Nets have an 11-15 home record and both of the teams have won their last two games. There really isn’t a lot to separate the two sides but the Nets have a slight edge with a 5-5 record in their last 10 games, compared to the 4-6 record that the Hornets have in their last 10 games. The Hornets defeated the Lakers by the narrow margin of 104-103 on Tuesday while the Nets defeated the Warriors 110-108 on Monday.
For average points scored, the Nets have the edge, 96.5 to 94.6 while for average points allowed, the Hornets have the advantage, 96.9 to 99.4.
Bismack Biyombo and Kemba Walker could be absent for the Hornets while PJ Hairston is being closely monitored. The Nets have concerns over Bojan Bogdanovic and Mirza Teletovic.
Taking the Hornets with a +5.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, isn’t a bad approach for Wednesday night. Bet Now!
