Just Two NBA Games To Bet On
Thursday the 6th of November promises to be a rather quiet day for basketball fans as there are only two NBA games taking place. This means that there will be limited basketball betting opportunities on offer to the players, but there will be chances if you are really keen to place a bet.
There was also plenty of basketball action taking place on Wednesday the 5th of November, so there will be some fans enjoying the glow of a great win, while there will also be fans who are in a bad mood after seeing their team lose.
Fans of the Bulls will be in a buoyant mood after they managed a 86-95 win on the road against the Bucks. The Jazz were the latest team to conflict the Cavs to a defeat, with the 102-100 win being celebrated with much delight in Utah. The Sacramento Kings ran riot against the Denver Nuggets, eventually triumphing by a score-line of 131-109. The San Antonio Spurs were involved in a tight affair, but they eventually triumphed against the Hawks by a score of 94-92. The Grizzlies picked up an excellent away win, defeating the Suns by a score of 91-102. There was also a big win for the Golden State Warriors, who managed to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 121-104.
San Antonio Spurs @ Houton Rockets
The fixture list may have been slightly favourable to the Houston Rockets but not too many teams manage to create a 5-0 record at the start of a campaign. This record sees the Rockets being hailed as the second team in the history of the league to begin with 5 straight wins, all with a lead of at least 10 points. The team sits alongside the Denver Nuggets team of 1985-86, with the Nuggets managing to hold that record over 6 games.
A pleasing thought for Houston fans will be the fact that they three times they have previously started with a 5-0 record, they have made it through to the Western Conference finals every single time. The most recent time occurred in 1996-97, so it is not as if it is recent history for many fans, but there will be plenty of Rockets fans who are getting excited. Mind you, they are coming up against the reigning NBA Champions, the San Antonio Spurs, so this may well be the first real test that the Rockets have had to endure. So far, the Rockets have defeated Philadelphia, Boston, Utah and the Los Angeles Lakers, all teams who have been struggling. However, the win over the Heat, who were on a winning run themselves, has given some hope to the Rockets and it may be that the Spurs are in for a tricky tie in Houston.
The big man for the Rockets was Dwight Howard, who picked up 26 points and 10 rebounds, but he was ably assisted by James Harden, who grabbed 25 points and 10 assists.
The Spurs are sitting on a 2-1 record, coming off the back of a narrow win over the Hawks on Wednesday. Tim Duncan hasn’t been at his best this campaign but he did manage to serve up 17 points and 13 rebounds against the Hawks, so there will be some hope that he is turning things around. It should be noted that the Spurs may have some injury concerns for Thursday night with Tiago Splitter suffering an aggravation of the calf injury that sidelined him for the start of the game. Marco Belinelli also limped out of the Wednesday night match in the first quarter so he may be missing for this match.
With this in mind, taking the Rockets at -3.5 at odds of 1.90 could be of benefit, with home team momentum and circumstances for the NBA Champions meaning a home win could well be on the cards. Bet Now!
Dallas Mavericks @ Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers are currently at 2-2 while the Mavericks hold a 3-1 record, but there are a few deficiencies in the performance of the Mavericks this season, which means that this is likely to be an open game that both teams will be confident of winning. Chandler Parsons, picked up during the off-season, is likely to be a key player for the Mavericks in this match.
Damian Lillard managed to get beyond his mental block of grabbing 20 points this campaign by picking up 27 points in the win against Cleveland on Tuesday. Many within the Portland camp will be hoping that this is a turning point for the player. LaMarcus Aldridge delivered 16 points, which has been a season low, so the same people will be hoping that the previous game was not a turning point for his talents and performances.
The Mavericks at odds of 1.86 for a +2.5 start is likely to be a bet that keeps you interested until the dying seconds. Bet Now!
