Saturday NBA Betting Action Starts Right Here
The NBA loves to party at the weekend, and while we have a great number of Saturday games to look forward to today, there were plenty of games on Friday night, which means we start by looking back to what went down on Friday evening.
The Knicks went to Brooklyn and returned with nothing, the Nets defeating the team from New York by a score of 92-88. The Cavaliers slumped to a defeat after a great winning run, losing 103-99 in Indiana. The Celtics tasted success at home, dealing with the 76ers by a score of 107-96 and the Pistons had enough about them to deal with the Nuggets, winning by a score of 98-88.
The Rockets defeated the Bucks 117-111 and the Suns overcame the Jazz by a score of 100-93 in Phoenix. The Magic held off the Lakers, winning 103-97 and the other Los Angeles side also lost out, the Raptors triumphing 123-107 in Toronto. The Hawks overcame the Warriors, winning by 124-116 in Atlanta while the Thunder slipped to a home defeat against the Pelicans, the New Orleans side triumphing 113-116.
The Timberwolves defeated the Grizzlies in a close encounter, the 90-89 game falling in the favour of the team from Minnesota and the Spurs defeated the Heat, winning in San Antonio by a score of 98-85.
Portland Trail Blazers @ Dallas Mavericks
This is a game between two teams with fairly impressive records so far this season. The Trail Blazers come into this one holding a 34-16 record and their 12-11 record on the road ensures that they travel with a bit of confidence. The Portland side have won their last two outings and in their previous ten outings, they hold a 4-6 record.
They travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks, a team with a 34-18 record, which includes a 15-8 record in Dallas. The Mavericks won their last outing and with respect to their last ten games, they hold a 5-5 game. Both teams may have slightly struggled for form in their last 10 games but they have clearly showed strong form over the season.
With respect to average points scored, the Mavericks have an advantage, having grabbed 106.8 to 102.5. For average points allowed, the Trail Blazers have the better form, 97.2 to 101.1. On Thursday, the Trail Blazers beat the Suns at home, winning by 108-87 and the Mavericks won away to the Kings, clinching a 78-101 win in Sacramento.
Both teams have a couple of injuries to be concerned about. The Trail Blazers are likely to be without Joel Freeland while Chris Kaman and Robin Lopez are being closely monitored. For the Mavericks, Rajon Rondo is a major doubt while Devin Harris and Dirk Nowitzki are being closely monitored.
Taking the Mavericks with a -2.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, is likely to be a sensible way to have some fun on Saturday. Bet Now!
Chicago Bulls @ New Orleans Pelicans
The Bulls travel to New Orleans and both teams will be keen to show that they have post-season credentials. The Bulls travel with a 30-20 record, and they have a road record of 17-9. They are currently on a losing streak of 3 though and they have a record of 4-6 in their last 10 games. It hasn’t been a bad season for the Bulls but they need to snap into better form at this moment in time if they are looking to keep their campaign going.
The Pelicans have a 27-23 record, and their home record stands at 17-7. The Pelicans won their most recent game and their 7-3 record in their last 10 outings indicates that this is a team that can take care of business.
With respect to average points scored and average points allowed, there is not much between the two teams. For points scored, the Bulls are slightly ahead 101.9 to 100.6 and as for average points allowed, the Pelicans have a slight advantage, leading 99.5 to 99.9.
On Wednesday, the Bulls lost in Houston, going down 101-90 to the Rockets while the Pelicans last played on Friday, winning 113-116 away to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Bulls are likely to be without Mike Dunleavy while the Pelicans are monitoring Anthony Davis on a regular basis.
Taking the Bulls with a -1.5 handicap, at odds of 1.90, will ensure that you have an interest right to the end of this encounter. Bet Now!
Boston Celtics @ Milwaukee Bucks
The Celtics travel to Boston on the back of three straight wins, so they’ll be looking to keep the confidence going. The team holds a 19-30 record this campaign and their on the road record of 8-15 needs improving. However, they hold a 6-4 record in their last ten outings, and things aren’t going too badly for the Celtics at the moment.
However, they are taking on the Bucks who have a 27-23 record and this includes a 12-10 record in Milwaukee. The Bucks lost their last game but they do hold a 6-4 record, the same as the Celtics, in their last 10 games.
With respect to average points scored in a game, the Boston side has the lead, 101.2 to 98.9. The Milwaukee side leads with respect to average points allowed though, 97.1 to 102.7. Both teams were involved on Friday night with the Celtics grabbing a big win, defeating the 76ers at home by a score of 107-96. On the same night, the Bucks were in Houston, losing 117-111 to the Rockets, so the Milwaukee side will be glad to be home tonight.
Tayshaun Prince is a major doubt for the Celtics while Avery Bradley is being closely monitored. Larry Sanders, Ersan Ilyasova, Zaza Pachulia and Kendall Marshall are big doubts for Milwaukee while Kenyon Martin and Brandon Knight are being closely monitored in the build up to this match.
Taking the Bucks at -6, with odds of 1.90, is likely to be a smart idea for anyone looking to add some betting fun to their Saturday. Bet Now!
