Monday Night Basketball Betting Action In The NBA
Here we go again with another busy week of NBA action. There are a few Sunday games to round up before we get started with this week, but if you are eager to place some bets this week, you will find that there are more than enough opportunities to do so.
The Celtics managed to defeat the Wizards in Boston, triumphing by a score of 101-93 while the Hawks were also happy at home, defeating the Nuggets by a score of 96-84. There was a win on the road for the Thunder, narrowly coming out on top in Detroit, defeating the Pistons by a score of 94-96.
The Grizzlies mauled the Heat at home, winning by a score of 103-87 while the Trail Blazers were successful in New York, defeating the Knicks by a score of 99-103. The Mavericks were on fire, beating the Bucks by a score of 125-102 and the Lakers were trounced at home losing 87-104 to the Pelicans.
Atlanta Hawks @ Indiana Pacers
The Hawks come into this game with a 13-6 record, which holds a 4-4 record away from home, while the Pacers hold a 7-13 record, with a 4-5 home record. The Hawks come into this game on the back of 6 wins while the Pacers come into this on the back of 4 straight defeats.
Paul Millsap grabbed 23 points in the Sunday night win against Denver, and he will likely be at the front of what the Hawks offer up in Indiana. While the Hawks run is impressive, their fixtures have favoured them up to this point and they will find the going tougher later on in the campaign. They still look to have a strong run of fixtures to enjoy this week though, so they should be good to continue their form.
The Pacers will be glad to return home after a run of away games culminated in a 102-101 OT loss in Sacramento on Friday. David West has been strong for the Pacers, averaging 14.2 points per game in the last five games, all the more impressive when you take on board the player missed the first 15 games of the season through injury.
The only noted injury concern for either team is Ian Mahinmi, who is being monitored by the Pacers on a daily basis.
With the current Hawks run of form, finding them at odds of 1.90 with a +1.5 handicap sounds too promising to be true, so make sure you get involved with this action on Monday. Bet Now!
Golden State Warriors @ Minnesota Timberwolves
The Warriors come into this game with a 17-2 record, with a 10-1 record away from home, while the Timberwolves hold a 4-15 record, which contains a 2-7 record at home. This is certainly something that will cause people to think that an away win is on the cards and this feeling is strengthened when you look at the current form. The Warriors have a winning streak of 12 games on the go while the Timberwolves have lost their last 5 games. Obviously all records have to be broken at some point but you would think the Warriors have enough about them to keep going on Monday.
Klay Thompson grabbed 24 points in the Golden State victory against Chicago while the Timberwolves will be hoping that Zach LaVine maintains his current form, the player has picked up 39 points in his last two games. Andrew Wiggins has suffered a loss of form of late though and the Timberwolves will be desperate to see him return to form soon.
David Lee is causing Golden State a lot of concern while Draymond Green is being monitored on a daily basis. The Timberwolves don’t have their troubles to seek when it comes to injuries and they could be forced into playing an interesting squad on Monday. There are major doubts over Nikola Pekovic, Ricky Rubio, Ronny Turiaf and Kevin Martin while there are also concerns over Shabazz Muhammad and Mo Williams.
With the injury list and form guide, taking the Warriors at odds of 1.90 for a handicap of -12.5 looks to be a great way to get your basketball betting week off to a strong start. Bet Now!
Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Clippers
The Suns come into this game with a 12-9 record, which stands at 6-5 away from home while the Clippers hold a 14-5 record, which contains a 7-3 home record. The Suns are coming into this game on the back of a defeat while the Clippers are on a winning run of 7.
A great deal of the Clippers current form is down to the strong partnership of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Paul is averaging 17.9 points while Griffin is averaging 22.9 points, and they are integral to the winning run that the Los Angeles team finds themselves on.
The Suns suffered a poor defeat in Houston on Saturday night but Eric Bledsoe was in good form, grabbing 23 points in the loss.
Isaiah Thomas is a big doubt for the Suns but there is hope that he will return on Monday night while Chris Douglas-Roberts is a doubt for the Clippers. The Clippers also have slight concerns over Jordan Farmar and Reggie Bullock.
Finding the Suns with odds of 1.90 for a +7.5 handicap makes them an appealing bet and there is no reason why the Suns cannot push the Clippers hard, even if they ultimately lose out. Bet Now!
